GAMON designs, manufactures and delivers health care apparel that health professionals can count on, live in and be proud to wear.
Doctors, nurses and health care administrators are on the front
line to provide healthcare to people in the community. They go through both
physical and mental challenges in everyday practice. They are people doing
difficult yet important work that they are proud to do. Most of healthcare
providers wear scrubs at work, and some people even commute in their scrubs
spending long hours everyday. So apparently, they deserve to choose an outfit that
can make them feel good about how they look and feel.
GAMON’s founder, Dr. Hyu Im, is a leading dental surgeon in Seoul,
Korea. Educated in the US and Korea, he spends his workdays and nights in
surgical scrubs — for safety, hygiene, and comfort. As a student early in his career, he was not happy with the poor
quality, unflattering cuts of the “hospital scrubs” he had to wear day in and
day out. He wanted to feel good at work, and wear clothes he could be proud of.

Working with researchers from Seoul National University school of
fashion design, he began to experiment with fabric, stitching and designs that
would meet the needs of the healthcare providers while helping them look and
feel their best. He and the SNU team developed a product that can deliver all
these values.
